2.Grace Gentile's involvement with theater outside of school.  Would also interview Mr. Baldwin and someone else, but not sure who

3. Talk about some of the freshmen who have made varsity sports this spring: Jack Gitlin, TJ
Nesbit, Melissa Lord

Feature Ideas

1. I was thinking of interviewing Max Obourn one of the two freshmen that went to Tobati this year. I would also probably interview someon in his group, and Mr. Garcia or a senior who went on the trip this year

2. Interviewing Mr. Baker about his marathon running and triathlons. Maybe I would interview teachers close to him and a stundent of his

3.Interviewing TJ Nesbitt the only freshman on varsity baseball. i would also interview other players on the team as well as one of the coaches

Natalie's Personality Profile Ideas

Ideas for Feature Story:

1. I could interview my friend Alexa Elmy, about her summer acting camp in New York called Stella Adler. I could interview her, her friend from Tennessee who also goes to the camp, and possibly her parents.
2. I could interview Mrs. Semmelrock about her yearly trips to Spain. I could possibly interview one of the kids she has gone with, and the other teacher she goes/has gone with.
3. I could interview Ms. Rubin about how her views of student learning are different from traditional methods because she knows about learning disabilities. I could interview someone she works with, and get his or her opinion of her philosophy, and another teacher’s view on her philosophy.

Garret Meccarelio: I know he has a hot dog stand so I could interview him about that and what it's like. I also know he has a few other bussinesses.

James Mckeown: I know that he got into Westpoint and I could interview him asking what his interests were when applying there and for his future goals.

Brandon Best: I know he likes to rap a lot so I could interview him on his pursuit of becoming a rapper.

Feature Ideas

Owen Jarmoc: he is a volunteer firefighter and EMC.
I could interview him, someone in his family, and then maybe someone that he works for, a firefighter, maybe?

Megan Geier, Meghan Lembo and Marissa Landino just recently came back from Nationals and they won!
I could interview them, their coach, and family members, and also other girls on the team

Team Tobati: I could ask Mr. Garcia for someone who has been many times and is a very active leader and interview them about what they have done there how it has changed over the years and how the experience has changed them
I could talk to Mr. Garcia, the person who it is about and also other active Team Tobati people that have gone with the person.

Feature Ideas

1. Asha's running hobby and her marathon running
I would interview Asha and some other teachers that are close to her or maybe that know about her running

2. Mrs. Doyle's work at KO and how she helps k-o students
I would interview Mrs. Doyle and maybe Mrs. Rubin and a student

Max's Ideas for Features Story

  • TJ Nesbit- He is the only freshman to make varsity baseball. Maybe I could interview him and one of his coaches or a different player on the team
  • Jack Gitlin- He is the only freshman to make varsity lacrosse. I could interview, him, and possibly a coach or another player.
  • Zack Mendolovici- Only or one of the only freshmen on varsity tennis. I could interview him, a coach, and maybe another player
My idea for the article is to incorporate all 3 stories into one about freshmen in varsity sports.

3 Feature Ideas

1. Mrs. Tomkiel's trips to nearly all 50 states.
I would interview Ms. Tomkiel as well as Ms. Scig, as they share an office and I'm sure Ms. Scig would know about her trips (and I think that Ms. Scig even went on a few trips with her..) I could also interview Mrs. Repp, because she and Ms. Tomkiel are friends, sharing the bond from being math teachers for so many years together.

2. Grace Gentile inspiring young children to dance and do theater.
I could interview Grace, some other teen-instructors, Grace's teacher, and maybe even one of her students, depending on his or her age.

3.Mr. Garcia and his many years working with Team Tobati
I would interview Mr. Garcia, a senior or junior who went to Tobati multiple times, and another teacher that has gone to Tobati many times.

3 Feature Ideas

For three off campus feature ideas, I could:

1. Talk to Mr. Baker about his experiences running different marathons and what he does to train. I could also talk to Ms. Franczyk about this too, since she and him spend so much time together.

2. I could interview Helena Roland about unified theater and how that group works, and what they do. For this story, I could talk to other people in Helena's family (her brother, her mom, etc.) and I could find out how other people can get involved and participate.

3. Finally, I could talk to Mrs. Loeb about her unique outlook on life. I'm not sure who else I could interview about this, but I could maybe talk to some other teachers here at KO that interact with her most, to see how her unique views have influences on different aspects of her life, and what her life philosophies are.
