I believe that journalists decided to report this because it is a good example of taking something that is enjoyable and fun and having it turn into a nightmare within such a short period of time. I think that this was published in order to make people more aware of the tragedies that can happen and the dangers of cruise ships. In the future, this story will probably have a major influence on cruise business after such a shocking tragedy. Many people will question whether they feel safe to go on a cruise.

I believe that this article was published because it is a very influential part of the presidential race. No longer is Mitt Romney winning the Republican slot by a strong lead. After the primary in South Carolina where Romney was defeated by Newt Gingrich, it was apparent that Romney did not have such a far lead against his rival. This will be affecting millions of voters whose votes will all count in the race that is now projected to go strong into the spring. No longer is the Republican candidate position blatantly obvious, only the upcoming votes will tell which candidate will take the seat.
